Welcome to the Manhattan Jaycees website. My name is Justin VanNest. I am the 67th President of the chapter here in Manhattan. Thank you for taking the time to stop by our site and see what we are about. The Jaycees are a civic organization of young people 18-40. We are college students, parents, business owners, young professionals, and above all dedicated to improving the community and ourselves.
Young men who wanted to expand and develop their business skills in the community started the Jaycees in 1920 in St Louis. Today, we welcome any young man or woman who wants to develop those same skills and help their fellow man and their community.

Jaycees has personally affected my life greatly. My grandmother was very influential in involving me when I first joined the organization. She had been a member when she was younger and told me that if I wanted to improve myself, the Jaycees was the organization I needed to join. Through the Jaycees, I have met many wonderful people and I have improved my career through the skills I have learned from this organization.
